Grace….it’s the one word that can describe, define, and explain who I am and why my life makes sense. You see, I didn’t grow up knowing about grace but once it got a hold of me, I was never the same. That’s the real stuff. Here are a few details….

I grew up in the “country” in the small drive through town of Eros, Louisiana (which is near Calhoun, which is near the “big” town of Monroe!). I am the youngest of 12 children, yes, 12! Music was always a big part of my family but it wasn’t until later did I finally know why. In 1996, I moved to Dallas, Texas and through a series of events, some painful, all divine, I ended up at Grace Community Church a couple of years later. (Here is where I’ll insert a huge thanks to my husband who made it his mission to invite me to Grace: Thanks honey, you’re the best!) It was there where God began doing a number on my heart of stone and would soon show me what it truly meant to be forgiven and set free. In May of 2000, I finally “got it” and surrendered my entire life to Christ. That was where the turning point occurred and although I haven’t forgotten where I came from, I really haven’t looked back since.

From that point on, I began songwriting and my passion for worship and for leading worship was birthed. That was over ten years ago and the flame of that passion is still burning strong for my God who lifted me out of the pit of my sorrow and my sin. I will never tire of giving him thanks and striving to always craft a song that tells the story of his redemption over me….”For Jesus redeemed me from the grave’s deep, with no condemnation, no burden or grief, I stand before the King of kings…” Amen!

I make Plano, Texas my home and am blessed with my awesome husband, Claude, my sweet little brown eyed girl, Ava, and my little blued eyed guy, Shepard…oh, and don’t forget the large, unruly cat named Buster who loves to “help” me write songs at the piano.

I hope you are blessed and encouraged by my music, I hope you can tell how grateful I am through the lyrics, and most of all, I hope you are drawn nearer to the God of all creation who delights in making all things new.
